User Data Deletion

1. Overview

This page explains how users and shop administrators can request deletion of data associated with Shono, including information processed when a Facebook Page, Instagram, or WhatsApp channel is connected through our Meta integration.

2. What you can delete

Depending on your role, deletion may include: account profile details; shop workspace data (products, orders, customers, conversations, messages); connected channel credentials; and related logs we hold for operating the service.

Some records may be retained for a limited period where required for security, fraud prevention, tax, or legal compliance.

3. How shop admins delete channel data

1. Sign in to your shop subdomain (for example yourshop.shono.global). 2. Open Channels and disconnect Messenger, Instagram, and/or WhatsApp. 3. Optionally remove related conversations and customers from the product UI. 4. To delete the entire workspace, contact support or use account closure options where available in Settings / Subscription.

4. How to request deletion by email

Send an email to privacy@shono.global from the email address on your Shono account with subject “Data deletion request”.

Include: your full name, shop subdomain or organization name, and whether you want (a) Meta channel data only, (b) a specific conversation/customer set, or (c) full account and workspace deletion.

We aim to confirm receipt within 7 days and complete verified deletion requests within 30 days, unless a longer period is required by law.

5. Meta / Facebook users

If you interacted with a shop that uses Shono on Messenger or Instagram and want your messages or profile data removed from that shop’s Shono workspace, contact the shop first, or email privacy@shono.global with the Page name, approximate date, and any message details that help us locate the records.

Disconnecting Shono from a Page stops new ingestion; historical data already stored for that shop remains until the shop or a verified deletion request removes it.
